MTV anunció una nueva edición de los “Video Music Awards” (VMA), un certamen que premiará el trabajo realizado por diferentes artistas en lo que va del 2023. Este año la premiación se transmitirá el 12 de setiembre en Prudential Center de Nueva Jersey a las 21hs, horario de Argentina.
Taylor Swift lidera la lista de nominados a los Premios MTV con ocho menciones, seguida por SZA (seis); Doja Cat, Kim Petras, Miley Cyrus, Nicki Minaj, Olivia Rodrigo y Sam Smith (cinco cada una); y BLACKPINK, Diddy y Shakira (cuatro cada una).
Por primera vez en la categoría «Artista del año», todas las nominadas son mujeres: Beyoncé, Doja, Karol G, Minaj, Shakira y Swift. Esta es también la primera vez que dos de las nominadas provienen del mundo de la música latina. El primer artista latino en ser nominado en esta categoría fue Bad Bunny, quien ganó el año pasado.
